Counseling

Our practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families through a trauma focused lens. What this means is we sensitively and slowly assess for appropriate care and fit between client and clinician to ensure comfort. We believe in helping people shift slowly to ensure safety.

Our highest aim is to be an inclusive space that offers you the freedom to feel seen, heard, and witnessed. As psychotherapist Irvin Yalom says, “The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of therapeutic help.” Once this crucial foundation is set, the vehicle and path you choose to reach your therapeutic destination will be yours to create with your therapist who will be ready to serve you as a resource and guide.

All our therapists provide screening services to identify any risk factors, early behaviors, substances, or characteristics of a mental health condition as well as providing a thorough mental health assessment to include collaborative treatment plans that will include mental health diagnosis as well as goals and strategies for healing and additional care. All our therapists also provide care coordination to involve additional healthcare and social service providers to aid in any additional supports as needed.

The therapists at Trauma Informed Therapies provide a wide range of therapies for attending to client needs. We are committed to continuously learning more ways to do our best possible work for our clients.
