 Brianna Rollins

I am a Spokane native women of color and currently an Advanced Standing graduate student at Eastern Washington Universiy’’s School of Social Work. I received my bachelors degree in social work from Eastern with a minor in political science. I am passionate about social justice and systemic issues. I have completed a racial bias training through JustLead Washington and am looking forward to training Spokane government employees and stakeholders on racial bias and social cognition. I believe that in order for individuals to be successful, systems have to be in place to facilitate and support that growth. I am looking forward to working closely with the administrative and clinical staff to help support and develop an organizational structure that is evidenced based, trauma informed, equitable, empowering, and promotes wellness for all members of the community.

Hello! I am currently a Graduate student in Social Work at Eastern Washington University. I am a Mexican-American woman, and my pronouns are She/Her. I previously worked with Volunteers of America serving teenage mothers who are at risk of experiencing homelessness. I also have experience working with survivors of domestic violence as a legal advocate with the YWCA. My goal is to create a non-biased, non-judgmental and safe space for individuals to feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics. I enjoy helping individuals regain confidence, overcome challenges and make the necessary healthy changes to have a better quality of life. I am anticipating that my experiences at A Refuge; Trauma Informed Therapies will help me to help you heal.
