Get to know me:

When human beings experience life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. Hi, my name is Yvonne Roberto. I have a great passion for helping those affected by stressful/traumatic life experiences.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fayetteville State University and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University-online. I have experience in a variety of settings which stem from community-based, outpatient mental health, and psychiatric facilities.

Currently, I am a Child & Family Mental Health Therapist. I also have past experience as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, helping those with addiction and problems related to addiction. I absolutely love to see others change, grow, and improve. My passion is to be of service to others. It brings me fulfillment as I help others meet their needs. It’s the greatest reward of what I do.

What struggles am I most skilled at addressing as a mental health professional?

What populations do I work with?

I strive to help my clients, who include children, adults, and families, strengthen and find healthy perceptions of themselves, so that they may be whole, emotionally healthy people for themselves and all those they encounter.

What is my approach to healing?

Not one single approach is suitable for every individual. I utilize talk therapy, CBT, and Mindfulness techniques to assist clients with processing events and emotion and symptoms management. I also like a strengths-based approach; highlighting strengths, talents, and capabilities, while also focusing on the most critical and personal risks.
